A feature published by The Indian Express for Sunday Express Eye stated that Diljit, an intensely private person, is married and has a child, while his parents reside in Ludhiana. This news may come as a surprise to many, as Diljit has kept his personal life out of the spotlight. Nonetheless, during promotions for the film Good Newwz, Kiara Advani inadvertently hinted that Diljit was a father. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, she mentioned being the only cast member without a child, implying that the 'Crew' actor had embraced fatherhood.
Previously, Diljit had spoken about his experiences with heartbreak and his early life in an interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. Diljit revealed that he became estranged from his family as a young boy when he moved from his village to live with his maternal uncle in the city of Ludhiana. The lack of communication and distance led him to drift away from his family.
Now, Diljit is preparing for the release of Imtiaz Ali's Amar Singh Chamkila on Netflix, set to premiere on April 12. The film tells the true story of the young assassination of Punjabi musician Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife.
